I just watched A Visit to Santa. This may be the single worst film in the archive. Which is why I loved it! Can anyone suggest other films here that are similarly, surreally, bad? I know that just about anything made by Coronet could fit into this category, but they at least were somewhat competently made. Are there any others here that are as amateurishly dreadful as A Visit to Santa?

"surreally, bad?" you ask. Don't you mean "sureally good" and shouldn't you be watching The Relaxed Wife right now? Certainly not amateur production, but surreal? You bet!

Be careful. The producers of these films may have been leaders in their communities, respected by all.

Sorry, I couldn't resist that, after the fuss over "A Visit to Santa" earlier. I'll probably get yelled at for that one.

I would recommend "Signal 30," or any other Highway Safety Foundation film. Bad acting, grainy film, disturbing images: it doesn't get any more amateurish than this.

A Visit to Santa is pretty much the benchmark for incompetence. Movies don't get much "better" than that.

The Door to Heaven is pretty funny, and the really awful, surreal dental hygiene film Munchers: A Fable may be the only claymation film I've ever seen that looks completely improvised. I'll recommend them both, but they can't even come close to A Visit to Santa, which holds a special place in my nightmares.

There are a couple of weird films here featuring a super-heroine named SAFETY WOMAN. You should get them.

Titles:
Safety: Harm Hides at Home
Safety: In Danger Out of Doors
